About

Fiona loves working with people in a therapeutic way and has been doing so since 2005. Initially as a massage therapist and more recently as a counsellor after completing a Post Graduate Diploma in Community Counselling in 2013.

Fiona has a genuine interest and belief in people, and believes that everyone deserves to be happy and content.

Her counselling approach is very supportive and caring, while encouraging insight and change.

She believes there are many ways to perceive and be in the world, and that all ways are valid and have something to offer. For this reason she draws on both cognitive (rational) and intuitive (creative) modalities as appropriate for your particular needs, preferences and healing journey.

For those who understand the theoretical models, Fiona uses a person-centred approach incorporating Narrative Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Expressive Therapies as appropriate. With couples, Fiona uses Gottman Method Couples Therapy.

In the right conditions, beauty unfolds.

"The appreciation and wonder I felt watching this desert flower blossom is similar to the feeling in the room when somebody has an insight or awareness in therapy allowing the healing and beauty to unfold." - Fiona
